Project Management

The Project Management Department is responsible for the organisational development, outreach, and internal coordination of the association. Rather than managing the technical development of the rocket, the department focuses on the people, infrastructure, public presence, aerospace network and events that enable ASTRA to operate as an organisation.

The department consists of four main areas:

Human Resources (HR)
HR manages the entire member journey within ASTRA, from recruitment campaigns and applicant coordination to onboarding new members. The team also supports member engagement and retention and contributes to creating a positive and collaborative working environment within the association.

Social Media
The Social Media team manages ASTRA's presence across its social media platforms. Members create and publish content, document launches, tests, events, and other activities through photos and videos, and communicate ASTRA's work to a wider audience. The team can also develop new content formats and creative ideas to showcase the association and its projects on LinkedIn, Instagram, Facebook and Youtube. Additionally editors who just want to edit are welcome too.

IT
IT maintains the digital infrastructure required for the association's day-to-day work. This includes managing Microsoft accounts and licences, assisting members with account and access issues, and maintaining ASTRA's website and other digital systems.

Event Management & Outreach
The Event Management team coordinates ASTRA's participation in external events as well as events organized by the association itself. This includes planning collaborations and networking events, such as our yearly collaboration with Starthaus Bremen where we organise a themed event around current aerospace topics, as well as organising ASTRA's presence at conferences and exhibitions. Members coordinate logistics, determine which marketing and exhibition materials are needed, plan and set up booths, and represent the association at events.
